The New Waves Festival, our bi-annual celebration of Vancouver Island playwrights, is back! And for the first time, we include a full production in the line-up: Courtenay playwright Michael Armstrong's Night of Shooting Stars, a fascinating noir thriller about a woman pursuing her kidnapped son through Cold War Canada, whose desperate quest is complicated by an affair with the detective helping her, and a fog of political intrigue.
New Waves Festival: March 23 through April 1, 2007
Night of Shooting Stars performances: March 23, 24, 30, 31 ~ 7:30 p.m. Matinee April 1 ~ 2 p.m.
